The No. 1 ranked batter in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings, Suryakumar Yadav, has stated that he feels incredibly fortunate to share a dressing room with contemporary batting legends Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
The 32-year-old Suryakumar, who made his limited-overs debut in 2021 and has since become a regular member of India’s lineup, gets along well with both Rohit and Kohli.
He has been a crucial player for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for a considerable amount of time under the direction of Rohit Sharma. Additionally, he and Kohli have become good friends recently, and they are frequently spotted chatting on social media.
Suryakumar praised Rohit and Kohli in an interview with PTI, describing them as a “different breed of international cricketers,” and expressed his thanks for the chance to play with them. He argued
“I am actually very lucky that I share dressing room with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. They are a different breed of international cricketers. Things they have achieved, I don’t know I will be ever able to achieve that.”

“Recently, I have had some good partnerships with Virat bhai and I have enjoyed batting with him. Rohit is like an elder brother and my sounding board. When I am in doubt, I ask him direct questions about my game. He has been a good guiding force since I joined MI in 2018.”

Three ODIs and three T20Is will be played during Sri Lanka’s tour of India in 2023. On January 3, 5, and 7, three T20I matches will be held in Mumbai, Pune, and Rajkot, respectively. The ODIs, meanwhile, will be held at Guwahati, Kolkata, and Trivandrum on January 10, 12, and 15 respectively.
