Former Pakistan pacer, Shoaib Akhtar has given his prediction for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 match between India vs Pakistan which will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia.  On Sunday, October 23, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the two sides will play one other because they are once more in the same group.

As per Shoaib, it will be challenging for the Men in Green to defeat India in the forthcoming T20 World Cup, which will take place in Australia in October. In their respective campaign openers, Pakistan and India squared off, with the former thrashing the latter to a dismal loss.

Shoaib Akhtar Delivers Verdict On India vs Pakistan In ICC T20 World Cup 2022

“India will come up with proper planning this time around. It will not be easy for Pakistan to beat India in T20 WC this time,” Cricket Pakistan cited a statement from Akhtar.

“Predicting match results now is quite difficult but Pakistan should bowl second as [the] pitch in Melbourne offers bounce to fast bowlers,” Shoaib Akhtar said.

“I believe the crowd will be bigger this time. Around 150,000 fans will watch the match line in Melbourne. Out of which, 70,000 will be Indian supporters,” Shoaib Akhtar said.

For the first time in ICC World Cup history, India lost a game to Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. It was one of India’s most shameful defeats in their cricket history. The two nations have not played bilateral cricket since 2012 when the Men in Green last toured India.

The last time these two teams faced off was in the Group Stage match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, wherein, Pakistan won the game by 10 wickets. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan returned to the dugout not out while chasing a score of 152 runs.

Shaheen Shah Afridi was the star with the bowl for Pakistan who picked up India’s 3 pillars in T20 cricket in the form of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul. Virat Kohli was the lone warrior as far as the Indian Cricket Team is concerned as he was the only batter who could score a half-century in the game.
