Out of the 405 players, 132 are from outside the United States, 282 are uncapped, and 4 are from associate countries. There are 87 seats available, 30 of which are for players from outside.

IPL 2023 Auction Date and Time

The IPL 2023 auction is scheduled for Friday, December 23, 2022. The event will take place in Kochi, Kerala, India. At 12.30 PM IST, the auction will begin. It might go on until seven o’clock in the evening.

For the IPL 2023 auction, 405 players in total have been shortlisted and will be sold. 991 players have signed up for the auction prior to that. 405 participants were chosen from among them to participate in the draught.

There are 405 players in total, 273 of them are native and 132 foreign. Four players are also from associate nations. There are 286 uncapped players and 119 players with caps. Only 87 spots are available across all teams, out of which 30 can go to international athletes.

Right to Match (RTM) is not an option in the IPL 2023 auction this time. Each side may select a roster of no more than 25 players. Only a maximum of 8 of these players may be foreigners. At least 75% of each team’s overall payroll cap must be used. Beyond the salary cap, there may be no purchases made.
