India vs Bangladesh Live: BCCI Provides Huge Update On Jaydev Unadkat’s Availability. After a stellar domestic campaign, Saurashtra bowler Jaydev Unadkat was selected for India’s Test squad for the opening Test against Bangladesh. The 31-year-old was called up to replace Mohammad Shami, who was injured but was stranded in Rajkot because of visa complications. In the two-game Test series at Chattogram, he missed the first game.
During India’s 2010 tour of South Africa, Jaydev Unadkat made his Centurion debut. Over the previous three domestic seasons, the 31-year-old has been in outstanding form, taking 115 wickets in 21 games, including 67 in Saurashtra’s title-winning season in 2019/20. He played a significant part in both Saurashtra’s winning campaigns and guided them to both the Ranji Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
BCCI Welcomes Jaydev Unadkat
In Bangladesh, Jaydev Unadkat has joined the Indian Test team. After a lengthy absence of 12 years, the left-arm seamer made his way back into the Indian red-ball lineup. He was chosen for the team, but his trip was delayed because his visa was late.
The Board of Control for Cricket confirmed it on Twitter, tweeting, “Hey @JUnadkat, welcome back to #TeamIndia!”\

Since his debut in South Africa in 2010, the left-arm bowler, who is now 31 years old, has participated in seven ODIs and ten T20Is. He was never a candidate for the five-day game, though. Due to the injuries sustained by Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, and Prasidh Krishna, he has earned a recall.
Unadkat would surpass Parthiv Patel’s record for the longest gap between two Tests by an Indian cricket player if he is given the opportunity to participate in the second Test match in Bangladesh.
