Shreyas Iyer produced an incredible display of fielding to dismiss Ben Stokes during the second innings of the second Test match between India and England in Visakhapatnam. Shreyas Iyer sent back the England captain to put India solidly in control of the game, just when it appeared like England could salvage something from a middle-order collapse.
In the opening session of day four, England were in a commanding position, chasing an unlikely 399. With an efficient Zak Crawley and a dominant Ollie Pope at the crease, they were on 132 for 2.

Ravichandran Ashwin’s rapid dismissals of Joe Root and Ollie Pope changed the course of the match. After that, Zak Crawley and Jonny Bairstow shared a 40-run partnership until India quickly dismissed both of them, bringing England’s score down to 194 for 6 at lunch.
Ben Stokes and Ben Foakes began cautiously after lunch. They appeared well-positioned, and India was facing difficulties, but Iyer’s incredible hit took India back into the lead. The 26-run stand came to an end when Ben Stokes was dismissed, bringing England down to 220 for 6.

Additionally, Shreyas Iyer took advantage of the occasion to mimic Stokes’ earlier celebration in an attempt to tease him. After dismissing Iyer in the second innings with a superb running catch, Stokes gestured to the crowd with his index finger. As the England captain made his way to the dressing room, Iyer came out with the same celebration.

India eventually won the second Test by 106 runs, leveling the five-match series. Following Stokes’ removal, Foakes and Tom Hartley put up 55 runs for the eighth wicket, preserving their team’s faint hopes. When Bumrah dismissed Foakes, the stand came to an end and so did team India’s woes of fighting with the opposition tail. The visitors were eventually all out for 292 as the tail-enders were unable to postpone the inevitable for very long.
