Liam Livingstone, an all-rounder for England, suffered a right knee injury during the opening game in Rawalpindi and was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the Test series against Pakistan. On day two of Friday’s play, the 29-year-old Livingstone, who made his Test debut here, wrenched his knee while fielding on the boundary.

He was absent from the field for the entirety of Pakistan’s opening inning. In England’s second innings, he batted and amassed an undefeated seven runs, although he was clearly in pain as he limped between the wickets. In England’s opening innings, he had nine points.
