The Scorchers, who set a record by winning their fourth championship last summer, replaced English batter and BBL Grand Final hero Laurie Evans, who quit the team after testing positive for doping, with South African star Faf Du Plessis. Tymal Mills’ absence was addressed in a statement released by the Perth Scorchers, who also backed his decision. A substitute international player is being sought after.
