IND vs AUS: His Training And Protocols Will Be As Per NCA: Saurashtra Coach Makes Massive Revelation On Ravindra Jadeja’s Participation In Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Ravindra Jadeja, the top all-arounder for India, hasn’t played since last September.
He was forced to withdraw from both the T20 World Cup and the Asia Cup due to a knee ailment. He later improved his fitness at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, and he is now ready to play again.
Jadeja was supposed to be named to the 17-member Border-Gavaskar series squad for the first two Test matches against Australia, however, a statement from the BCCI indicated that his selection was “subject to fitness.”

According to Saurashtra coach Niraj Odedra in an interview with Sportstar, Jadeja would join the team for their last Ranji Trophy league game against Tamil Nadu at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday in order to demonstrate his fitness.

“In fact, I had sent Jaddu a WhatsApp text saying that the boys are really excited to have him back. He immediately wrote back saying he is looking forward to catching up with the team. It’s been a while since he played Ranji Trophy for Saurashtra. A player of that calibre joining the team is a huge morale boost as well,” Odedra said. “His training and workload will be as per the National Cricket Academy (NCA) protocols.”
Jadeja will play in the Ranji Trophy for the first time since November of last year. With 26 points, Saurashtra now leads Elite Group B, although they will enter their match against Tamil Nadu coming off a defeat to Andhra by 150 runs in Rajkot.

When the Ranji Trophy match starts on January 24, BCCI selectors will be keeping a close eye on Jadeja. India will need Jadeja, a left-handed hitter, in the lineup because Rishabh Pant is still recovering from the automobile tragedy.
