Rahul Dravid, the head coach for the Indian Cricket Team, is on his way out. The Indian board is reportedly “seriously considering” appointing a separate coach for India’s T20 Set-UP, according to information from the BCCI Headquarters in Mumbai. According to a source in BOARD, the new coaching staff for the Indian T20 Team could be revealed as early as January. This indicates that a T20 series between India and Sri Lanka will be played in January with a new captain and a new coach.
Before the series against Sri Lanka, InsideSport had already revealed that Hardik Pandya would be officially named as India’s NEW T20 captain. InsideSport has also been informed by a senior BCCI official that the organization is also interested in appointing a new coach for the Indian T20 Team. Rahul Dravid and the incoming coach will probably collaborate.

Rahul Dravid to Continue As ODI and Test Coach- Reports
Dravid will concentrate largely on the ODI and Test Teams, with a separate coaching setup for T20 being considered.
“We have given it some serious thought. It is more important to manage busy schedules and have specialized talents on hand than it is to criticize Rahul Dravid’s or anyone else’s abilities. The T20 league now has a demanding schedule and frequent events. We must also embrace change. Yes, I can confirm that India will soon have a new T20 coaching setup,” according to a top BCCI official.

Rahul Dravid: Is this it for him? Who can be chosen as India’s new T20 coach, you ask? According to a BCCI officer, “no one has been zeroed on so far.” InsideSport also questioned the representative about the timeline for the new appointment.
“While we do not know when we are clear that India needs a new T20 setup. Before January, the NEW CAPTAIN will be announced. The official continued without providing any other information and a new coach can follow, but as I said, nothing is definitive.”
Earlier, Ravi Shastri and Harbhajan Singh both advocated for India to have a separate coach and captain for its T20 SET-UP.
“A person with more recent playing experience is better suited for the coaching position in T20s. I’m not suggesting you take Rahul out of the T20. To prepare this team for the 2024 World Cup, Ashish and Rahul can work together,” Harbhajan previously told PTI.
In a recent virtual news conference, Shastri was cited as saying, “I think for T20 cricket, there’s no harm in having a new captain, new coach because the volume of cricket is such that for one individual to play or manage all three versions of the game is never going to be easy.”
India Rahul Dravid is leaving, and the BCCI is “seriously pondering” recruiting a new T20 coach for India:
The biggest change will be that India’s T20 preparations will no longer include BIG GUNS like current skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
The news that Hardik Pandya would take over as captain of the T20 TEAM was previously announced by InsideSport. InsideSport has since learned that the BCCI informed Rohit, Virat, Mohammed Shami, R. Ashwin, and Dinesh Karthik that they will no longer be a part of India’s T20 Team in an informal discussion.
In January, India will meet Sri Lanka in a three-match T20 series. These two players won’t be part of the Indian team for the SERIES. KL Rahul, India’s vice-captain, will reportedly miss the series because he is getting married.

“In December, a new selection committee is constituted. They will be the ones to make all official decisions on the Indian team. But it is undeniable that we must get past a few names. Virat and Rohit have already been contacted. They and the BCCI are on the same page,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.
