During Wednesday’s Legends League match, Gautam Gambhir, a former teammate from India, and Sreesanth engaged in a furious stare-off (December 6). The Gujarat Giants are being led by Gautam Gambhir, while the India Capitals are being led by Sreesanth.
During their playing careers, both former Indian players were renowned for their fiery demeanor and refusal to back down from a challenge. Even after retiring from international cricket, it seems that not much has changed, particularly in terms of their mindset. When the India Capitals and Gujarat Giants squared off in the ongoing Legends League Cricket Eliminator, a peek of the same was seen.
Leading his team from the front, Gautam Gambhir scored a fast-bowling fifty to set the stage for a large score. With the help of seven fours and a six, the left-handed batsman scored 51 off just thirty balls, making him the team’s leading scorer. With the help of their captain’s outstanding knock, the Capitals amassed a massive 223 for 7 in the 20 overs they were permitted.
Gautam Gambhir and Sreesanth Fight
The bowling exchange between Gautam Gambhir and S Sreesanth was one of the game’s most memorable moments. With a six and a four against the pacer, the former India opener took his former teammate to task. Gautam Gambhir was not amused at all and Sreesanth gave him a long look after that. He wasn’t afraid to express his thoughts and even appeared perplexed by the actions of his former teammate.
6… 4… Showdown! Watch till the end for Gambhir 👀 Sreesanth.
