The CSK vs LSG IPL 2024 match on Friday will be without Deepak Chahar. This information follows Chahar’s injury-related withdrawal from the previous game against the Mumbai Indians. At a pre-match press conference, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming announced that Deepak Chahar is presently receiving rehabilitation under the guidance of the medical team.
CSK were able to give Deepak Chahar’s recuperation priority because of Shardul Thakur’s outstanding performance against the Mumbai Indians, according to Fleming.

Deepak Chahar out of LSG vs CSK
“He is doing his rehab well,” Fleming stated. “It’s a minor injury, nothing to worry about.”
Even though Deepak Chahar’s injury may not be serious, his return to competitive cricket hasn’t gone as planned. He has only claimed four wickets at an economy rate of 9.16 in the four games he has played this season. These are lower than expected for the elite bowler. Although Chahar isn’t around, Fleming still has faith in his group. He recognized Lucknow’s strength as a superior group of players.
On Friday, April 19, the Chennai Super Kings and the Lucknow Super Giants will play at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Despite the setback caused by Chahar’s absence, CSK will want to keep up their winning streak and win a vital match against a formidable foe.

Chennai Super Kings has been the evergreen team in the IPL history making it to the most playoffs and the most finals. However, just before the start of the season, they saw a change of leadership with MS Dhoni handing the baton of the team to Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Despite this, the team has performed as a strong unit and have gone on to win 4 out of the 6 games they have played. KKR has a better Net Run Rate than CSK and hence, the Men in Yellow take the 3rd spot in the IPL 2024 points table.
