During the IPL 2024 encounter against the Mumbai Indians, on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, it was all MS Dhoni. The seasoned batsman for the Chennai Super Kings hammered 20 runs in just four deliveries. With barely four balls left in the CSK innings when he stepped out to bat, Dhoni took full advantage of the occasion, hitting Hardik Pandya for three straight sixes. Every big shot that Dhoni made caused the audience to scream, and Sara Tendulkar, the daughter of legendary former Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, was astounded by the powerful batting shown.

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube had earlier struck outstanding half-centuries, and Dhoni added the finishing touch to push the CSK total above 200 on a pitch that offered little to no assistance to the bowlers.
After the game, Gaikwad had a special compliment for Dhoni.
“The young wicketkeeper scoring those three sixes helped us a lot, that proved to be the difference. We needed those 10-15 extra runs for this kind of venue,” Gaikwad stated at the presentation ceremony.
Even MI captain Hardik Pandya recognized Dhoni’s value in the CSK lineup and noted that having him there ultimately gives his team a significant advantage.
