Indian captain Rohit Sharma has failed to find his footing in the ongoing Test series between India and England. After India’s loss in the opening Test and his inability to take the squad by storm, the Indian captain is under a great deal of pressure.
He scored 24 and 39 in the first Test match in Hyderabad, where India lost by 28 runs after leading by 190 runs at the end of the first innings. After taking a lead of more than 100 runs in a Test match, Rohit Sharma became the first Indian captain to lose a Test at home. He also became the first Indian captain to lose a test in Hyderabad.

His batting and captaincy in the first Test drew harsh criticism, and he would have been desperate to improve in the second Test, which is currently taking place in Visakhapatnam. However, Shoaib Bashir removed the right-handed batsman for only 14 runs in 41 deliveries in the first innings of the Vizag Test.
Rohit Sharma has gotten some extra flak for abusing his teammates on the field during the second day of the Vizag Test. Rohit Sharma was heard abusing his teammates in a video that went viral on social media wherein, Rohit could be seen warning all his teammates not to be carefree on the field.

“Koi bhi garden me ghumega, maa ch*d dunga sabka,” Rohit Sharma could be heard screaming at the top of his voice over through the stump mic.
Rohit won the toss and chose to bat first in the Vizag Test. Team India posted 396 runs in the opening innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal stole the show scoring 209 runs off 290 balls. Jaiswal scored more than half of the team’s total runs, with no other player even coming close to reaching the 40-run mark.

James Anderson, Shoaib Bashir, and Rehan Ahmed each claimed three wickets for England. In response, England got off to a strong start but then wickets fell at regular intervals. A pre and post-Tea spell from Jasprit Bumrah rattled the English middle order and Kuldeep Yadav also assisted from the other end. As of now, the Indian Cricket Team will find themselves well placed with England at 205 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
