Axar Patel Comes Up With Shocking Revelation About Suryakumar Yadav’s Intent In The 2nd T20I. In the second game against Sri Lanka on January 5, Team India’s all-around player Axar Patel spoke about his first T20I fifty.

The guy, who is from Gujarat, scored 65 runs in 31 deliveries, but his exploits were in vain as the visitors won by an exciting 16 runs to even the series with one game remaining.

According to Axar Patel, he didn’t want to hit the spinner and instead tried to hit through the line and clear the ropes:

“After connecting with a number of my shots, and when Hasaranga came in to bowl the 14th over, I didn’t exactly target him by thinking I’d hit him in a specific location, I didn’t quite target him. I was just looking at the ball and swinging my bat through the strike zone. I’d decided that if it was in my comfort zone, I’d go for it.”

In the penultimate over of the innings, Dasun Shanaka threw a full-stop over long-off, and the all-rounder stumbled while attempting to clear it. Team India lost to the Lankan Lions at home for the first time in over six years despite a great cameo by Shivam Mavi.
