On the 30th of July, BCCI announced the squad for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour which consists of 3 ODIs at Harare. Shikhar Dhawan was asked to lead Team India in this series. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was rested for this tour as the Asia Cup and World Cup are approaching. Also, KL Rahul was unavailable owing to his injury.

KL Rahul To Travel With Team India To Zimbabwe As Their Captain
The Medical Team of BCCI assessed KL Rahul and is of the view that he is fit to play. Soon after the assessment, BCCI revised the squad and posted an update on the official site. The update clearly mentioned that KL Rahul will be the captain of Team India in this 3-match ODI series.
While Shikhar Dhawan who was earlier appointed as captain of team India will now be seen in the role of vice-captain. The revised squad was posted by BCCI on the 11th of August.

India will be taking on Zimbabwe in the ODI series which is scheduled to start on the 18th of August. The series will contain 3 Matches and will be concluded on the 22nd of August. All the matches will be played at Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe.
