One of the key players in the Indian cricket team is Hardik Pandya. The all-around standout who bowls quickly gives the team a balance that no other player can match. Right now, he’s one of the best all-around players in the world. The elite all-around player has, however, also a history of injuries.

Before returning to the Indian cricket team and the IPL, he had a lengthy injury layoff. Hardik Pandya, who finished the 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup as the sixth bowling option and a finisher with the bat, was expected to be a key player. Hardik Pandya’s World Cup experience was, however, short-lived as he broke his ankle trying to intercept a ball off his bowling during a match against Bangladesh.

He was not present for the remaining games. Additionally, none of India’s squads for the Tour of South Africa have included him. Former Indian cricket team player Ajay Jadeja had a humorous opinion about his propensity for injuries.

Ajay Jadeja Trolls Hardik Pandya

“You get a fast-bowling all-rounder very rarely,” the anchor told Ajay Jadeja in a YouTube Live on Sports Tak.

“You didn’t get the meaning. He is a very ‘rare’ talent, he is rarely seen on the ground. Hai toh rare waise. (He is indeed rare.)”

The mystery surrounding Hardik Pandya’s possible return to the Mumbai Indians from the Gujarat Titans was at its height before the publishing of the IPL 2024 retention list. Even though Hardik Pandya was first included in GT’s list of retained players, sources informed NDTV that the top all-round player had been traded to the Mumbai Indians after the deadline had passed.

The IPL formally announced the relocation a day later. Legendary spinner Ravichandran Ashwin believes that Rohit Sharma, who “does not have much ego” as Team India captain, will “handle it with grace” if all-rounder Hardik Pandya is named Mumbai Indians captain.

Following an all-cash deal trade-off with Gujarat Titans, the IPL team he captained for two years, Pandya recently returned to the Mumbai Indians.

Hardik Pandya, who began his IPL career with the Mumbai Indians in 2015 and went on to win four titles, joined the Gujarat Titans in 2022 and helped the team win the title that same season in addition to finishing second in the IPL 2023.

Many people were taken aback by the trade-off made to get Pandya back into the MI fold, particularly considering that Rohit presently holds the captaincy of the team.
